Biography
Hannibal Barca was a Carthaginian military commander whose tactical genius nearly brought Rome to its knees during the Second Punic War. His legendary crossing of the Alps with war elephants and his devastating victory at Cannae (216 BC) remain among history's greatest military achievements. Though ultimately defeated by Scipio Africanus, he reshaped warfare strategy for centuries to come.
