Biography
Cheikh Anta Diop was a Senegalese historian, anthropologist, and physicist who fundamentally challenged Eurocentric narratives of human civilization. Through groundbreaking research in radiocarbon dating and comparative history, he argued that ancient Egypt was a Black African civilization and that Africa was the cradle of human achievement. His work sparked a scholarly revolution that forced academia to reckon with centuries of distorted historical narratives.
